Okay, first and foremost university stuff! I think I found my timetable. Still haven’t got accomodation stuff, but still. Hopefully that’ll come soonish and I don’t get stuck with an awful place which I didn’t want. Which I fear. But for now, my timetable states:

Monday: 9am -> 12pm and 2pm -> 3pm
Tuesday: 9am -> 1pm and 2pm -> 3pm
Wednesday: 9am -> 1pm
Thursday: 11am ->12pm and 2pm -> 3pm
Friday: 1pm -> 5pm

All in all it doesn’t seem bad! Or at least nothing I can complain about. It would be better if the online system thing didn’t confuse me, but then I get confused easily and end up second guessing myself constantly thinking I did everything wrong. Which I may have done. I just need to get accomodation sorted, do ID card stuff, and pray for student loan to not disappear randomly. Granted for it to disappear I guess I need it in the first place so… I guess getting student loan would be a better thing. I need to sort out other stuff before uni though it seems. I’ll need to find somewhere to run Apachai, as well as deal with more important things like figuring out how to not get lost in southampton. And I can easily get lost in Epsom so that’s… risky. Also I’m probably gonna try and sort out a website of some sort in the near future so I can randomly test my stupid ideas that I get from time to time. Such as my many bot experiments that I’ve thought of new ways to do stuff with. Then I could probably move my “Blog” (in quotes because its more of something I randomly spam from time to time when I get bored, although thats probably what a blog is meant to be, unless people are meant to put meaningful stuff in here, which I don’t think I’ve ever done.) onto that site and try and adapt it somewhat. But yeah I’ll probably start making some random designs for sites and then go from there, and get a webhost etc.

In other news, gameswise in the future (aka before the university-try-to-stay-alive-without-getting-run-over-challenge) it’s probably just force unleashed and orochi 2. Although they’re out on 19th september I think? And i flee to southampton on the 27th-ish. Which will no doubt make me miss geass. Butohwell! Force unleashed I played the demo and ended up liking far more than i thought I would, but if you allow me to launch anything at anything else in any way then theres no doubt that I’d like it. And there’s lightning which is always good. Orochi 2 I’ll need to get just for the purpose of, I need to as koei games are my random game to play from time to time.

On the anime front, I think i’m probably gonna put bebop on hold for a while and start rewatching it in the future. My logic is save DVDs for later… times. D.grayman is on hiatus for a further forever, I think it’s just this week that is almost over and then next week too, then it’s back. I think. I would mention other mangas but I’m not that interested in them anymore other than reborn, and I dunno what to mention about that as I forgot to check spoilers. Bleach will be the same thing forever and I’m uninterested as always, naruto will always be meh. Can’t think of anything else to say.

Edit: OH! apart from kenichi manga. Where another 4 chapters got released todayish, or almost yesterdayish. Shigure and Akisame yayetc.

People are apparently releasing new kenichi chapters surprisingly quick now, seems to be a new one every day almost. Which is good. I mainly just wanted to post a random picture of apachai here, which I succeeded in doing (which is also from newer chapters. Gimme 2nd season already. That chapter could be an interesting episode.)

Got grades!

IT = AA and in the top 10 in the country. (And I got full marks on 2 pieces of coursework and pretty much 2 UMS away from full marks on all the other pieces of A2 coursework. Also got 90/100 on the network exam. Yay!)

Maths = B (Just, 5 marks over. Shockingly I only got a D for C4 so it didn’t impact it too badly, but then getting an A in C1 helped.)

History = C (Illogically, I did badly in the civil rights one and fairly well in the cold war. Thats not how I thought it was gonna happen. At all. It was meant to be the complete opposite! I guess this shows that when I think I make good points, even if I do merge people together, I fail.)

But yeah going and picking up stuff like this always scares me, especially the people angrily standing outside staring at their results. Went into sixth form thing, picked up envelope with my name on, which had a giant MAKE SURE YOU SEE EXAMWOMANHERE BEFORE YOU LEAVE thing. Seeing stuff like that makes me panic, then I waddle off to a corner on the way to opening, except I accidentally waddled into my IT teacher who screamed congratulations in my face, and potentially spoke to me more than she has for the entire year. Granted that is because I tend to stare angrily at teachers and not bother talking to them that much, but then I don’t say that much to anyone so its allowed. Unless I don’t mind you then i’ll say a few words every 5 mins or so. So yeah she congratulated me before I’d even opened the damn thing, leaving me utterly confused until she saw the closed envelope in my hand and she shuffled back. Opened it, stared at it for a while, still had no idea why i had to see woman, then annoying head of sixth form and head of IT (said teacher from before) gave each other knowing looks about what it was about. But they decided to move the woman’s office since I’ve left, meaning I had to go and find her which is more effort than I’m willing to use. Found her, ended up staring at her for about 20 mins in her office whilst she tried to yell at edexcel for making mistakes on other peoples stuff. Then I got handed a letter which said I was top 10, generally I just mumbled thanks and waddled off again and stood around outside talking to people for a while. Sadly I then got ambushed as I didn’t anticipate the fact that they would want a picture and my permission to release my name to the local press. I knew the name thing when she gave me the letter but the picture was pushing it, so I had to go waddle to the reception sign, which had a small school logo on the side, so I had to try and hide the reception bit from being seen. Pictures of/with me are automatically awful through some thorsion-style rule I invented in the world. That happened then I walked back home. Now I have to sort out uni stuff and all that.

On other notes, I went on holiday for 2 weeks, did stuff, it was fun. I started cowboy bebop. Uhh. Played GTA. Got Soul Calibur. Which I find fun until I attempt to play the tower thing, then I get deeply annoyed and stop automatically. Also certain people started playing ffxi so I’ve been playing that with them randomly.

Hello! Results day! (Blog title thought up by apachai, who i’ve resorted to PMing for insights) I did start to do a post two days ago but I realised I have nothing to talk about so I’d just merge it into todays post. Especially seeing as someone may have pointed out that i fail at updating.

I got into southampton, which I to be honest didn’t think would happen. After my C4 rant a few posts down, I really thought that had screwed up everything. To be honest I’m just randomly speculating at the moment as I have no idea what grades I’ve got. As it’s only 9:11. And thingy opens at 10 to give out results. So i’ll waddle over there, with no panic at all as I know I’ve got in. The grades don’t really matter now, I can’t see what else they’re useful for other than getting into uni. I could’ve got less than the requirements and southampton let me in anyway. And I’m glad, as when I went to see southampton it was awesome. When the labs have dual monitors and random macs, linux and vista dual boots everywhere and just crazy facilities, i’m easily impressed. Seeing as the stuff there is really new, and you can see they spent a lot of money on it. I’m interested by random features that other unis are lacking, you see. Like the comp lab there is ridiculous, whilst at surrey they were… smaller. Maybe I should go find some pictures.

Chances are I’ll reupdate this when I get back, with maths, IT + history grades etc. Then I can happily bound off to do whatever again.

I did ask Apachai for his opinion, but the only thing he really had to say was:

Stuff like that gives me hope. Golden Sun people working with capcom on BoF6 would be particuarly awesome. Granted this does create more risk as it means it would be a BoF6 or Golden Sun 3 scenario, which could potentially start a war between certain people.

I would like BoF. >_>;

Of course I’d be perfectly happy if they did both! This is at least a clear sign as to why there haven’t been any BoFs in a while, and gives reason for me to hope for a new one in the future. Unless Golden Sun fans soar in and annihilate BoF, which is a danger. In which case I’ll set Apachai to attack them.

More: Hmm, this seems more hopeful than first glance in that it really does look possible that camelot could do a BoF game. They seem to have an unnamed RPG in the works or something that could be golden sun, leaving room for BoF in the future. Also extra bonus, if it ends up being camelot then BoF could be a Wii game. Which would be nice, although I would no doubt need to update my wii and buy a EU version of Brawl, but I would be willing to do that for BoF. Yay BoF hopes are here for the first time in 5 years! Now all I need is Monkey Island and all is well. Granted BoF at the moment is contemplation on their part, but BoF is BoF and must be accepted or ershin and fou lu will soar in and annihilate everyone. The end. Just please, please, if you do create a new BoF mr golden sun people, ignore BoF5. No gameplay mechanics from it, no background from it, no references to it. We just need a silent ryu, a nina that soars around, a creature that is awesome and crushes everyone aka peco, deis needs to be in it, uh… dragon forms, multiple, not one that kills you. Oh, and preferably give me the ability to save more than a handful of times within the game. That really screws up the overlevel plan if I can only do it in 123 hour blocks to try and not use a save token. Oh, and learnable skills. And masters. And wyndia. Nina needs to not be a deformed child too, granted BoF3 Nina was slightly deformed but I put that down to her being slightly scary more than anything else. I should probably stop getting my hopes up before they decide “Nah BoFs long gone lets make a new game! Breath of Pixies.”

On a positive that no-one cares about note, I did win 4 untradable EXP scrolls! Brilliantly one is on Kannei, the mule of destiny, so uh. Great. But I got 3 on Thorsion so I can use them on my red mage or monk, depends on which i’m more desperate about.

Those 2 numbers. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Edexcel, I hate you. Why. Why did you choose to make C4 the most IMPOSSIBLE EXAM IN THE WORLD. GRTHASUF. So brilliantly, I’ve probably failed that, which’ll mean I at most would end up with a C overall. When I need a B for southampton as well as for surrey. Brilliant! So now I won’t go to any university and get stuck at glyn FOR YET ANOTHER FUCKING YEAR. HAFHASJFDHASIOAIOFJIOJFA. I did like how in my C4 exam the thunder and lightning started. It made for some dramatic death note style scene where I stared at the C4 paper in horror. Or maybe thats more like a gintama style scene. Also, if I ever hear anyone say “Oh, exams are getting easier” they deserved to be punched in the face with a justaway holding a mini June 2008 C4 paper. It was like the death note in exam form. Only you couldn’t write names in it and people would die. Thinking about it that would be a very flawed death note, seeing as everyone writes their name and candidate number and crap at the top. That could be a good idea for a future death note spin off though.

Then to top it off, I do my history paper (whilst being kept away from everyone and stuck in an exam room for THE WHOLE DAY due to Edexcel being illogical and deciding “Oh! Let’s schedule History and Maths at the same time. No-ones dumb enough to do that combination!”) and forget to analyse the sources properly. Granted I’m guessing I didn’t, as in the end I wrote 16 pages and by the end my writing had degraded to scribbly… crap… stuff.

I’m more enraged by maths, as I specifically worked crazily so I could improve C1, C3 and do S1 well, so that I could get a B. C4 was going wellish revision wise (I understood stuff. Its depressing when in the exam the one question you could mainly do was Vectors. Which in my revision all I did was STARE AT BLANKLY.). So they decide “Ohoho! As a brilliant scheme, let’s put random words that mean nothing into the question! oh! and add random numbers that MAKE NO SENSE.” The most depressing thing is the “Show that” questions, as you’re given the answer. Yet however you try and solve it, IT NEVER LOOKS ANYTHING LIKE THE THING YOU’RE MEANT TO BE SHOWING. Seriously, I was using crazily placed trigonometic formulae dotted everywhere to try and just MAKE IT APPEAR. So yeah, now in maths I somehow need like 50% in C4 to even get anywhere near a B in maths. Just about impossible. Woopee! Please be nice southampton and accept me anyway.

Seriously, all I need now is for edexcel to mark my ICT coursework down and I will enrage significantly more than I ever thought possible. Or an email from one of my ICT teachers randomly popping up with “Hi! Edexcel emailed us with some improvements for you to do.” Aaaaaand now all the memories of the constant coursework improvement overload is coming back. There’s something depressing about resorting to doing ICT coursework on a plane back from Berlin when I’d been up for like 24 hours. Statements like this make me question what I hate more, IT or Maths. Or history. Or exams. Or general education.

So in summary, when exams are going well, edexcel will fuck it up for you to be nice. It’s what they do. Luckily I still have 1 history exam left for them to fuck up! Woo! Await the results blog post on August 14th for the potential rage of infinity. And that’s the week of my birthday! How fun.

Edit: Just realised I pretty much missed the whole point of the second question in the history paper and completely ignored the presidents. Errrr, I think thats another fail then.

Uh-oh, apocalypse.

Yarr harr, I’m posting something, that may or may not be meaningful to your eyes! But I don’t care, I need to ramble.

As I’ve just found out, Ixion is being added to FFXI. Ixion is where Thorsion… appeared. As I named him that. The world of Thorsion has come full circle! He looks as angry of a horse as ever, yet if hes a summon my brain might explode if I see Thorsion summoning Ixion. Where they were once one and the same. Yet now Thorsion is a taru. Ixion is not (or he could be, dramatic plot twist uhoh). Also, this update should happen end of this month. I won’t have exams then. Hi finally getting somewhere in FFXI! Granted thats unlikely as I’ll no doubt find something shiny and wander off.

Exams are FUN! I decided in my infinite wisdom that avoiding as much of the internet as I can over this exam period would be a good idea. Granted I mean I use the internet, I just avoid chat programs, hide my ffxi icon, and avoid media player classic with its infinite amount of anime. Unless gintama is released, in which case, Gintama > Exams. Well yeah, had maths exam today. I don’t ever like making judgements on how well exams went as I fail badly at that. See January history exam on world war 2 for example, when I thought I did well and got a D instead. Retook that on wednesday so uh… hmm. Now just C4 maths left (the fact that the unit core maths 4 shortens to c4 always leaves me unnerved. Didn’t help in lost LOSTSPOILERSHERELOSTSPOILERSHERELOSTSPOILERSHERE when the boat was full of C4. Then it blew up. C4 maths is the equivalent of that C4. ENDLOSTSPOILERSHEREENDLOSTSPOILERSHERE.

Maybe making this a new paragraph will allow the spoilers to not kill people. I doubt it but what can you do, I just spoiled lost for everyone. Lost spoiled itself ages ago though. Sooooooooooooooooooo bup.

I’d like to say I have more meaningful things to speak about… Exams are very examlike and generally take 100% of my time at the moment. Bleach is bleachy, naruto is crowy, d.grayman is awesomey, reborn is flashbacky, one piece is smashy. The mangas mind you. I’m happy that d.grayman is being subbed by rumbel and higure jointo thing now though, as their translations seem better than thingy and thingy. Which is good. I’ll go do stuff now.
